The purpose of OVFL Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the OVFL, and who, as a result of this contribution, have enhanced the image and reputation of the league and football in Ontario.

ATHLETE
PURPOSE: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To recognize the achievements of outstanding athletes

The candidate must

  1. Have represented the sport with distinction in athletic competition either in or out of Ontario, and brought great credit to the sport of football.
  2. Have been born in Ontario, or have resided in Ontario during the period for which outstanding performance is claimed.
  3. Have a minimum playing time of three seasons in the OVFL
  4. Athlete’s achievements within the OVFL league which may include records, above average statistics for their position, all-star selections and MVP nominations.
    1. Character, leadership and sportsmanship on and off the field
    2. NEW AND REPEAT NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ANNUALLY

    3. NOMINATIONS ARE REVIEWED BY THE HOF COMMITTEE AND SELECTIONS ANNOUNCED AT THE ANNUAL AGM

ALUMNI
PURPOSE: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To recognize the achievements of outstanding athletes that have given back to the OVFL in the way of coaching participation through member organizations within the OVFL

The candidate must

  1. Have reached the minimum age of 24 years of age
  2. Have a minimum playing time of at least two full seasons in the OVFL one of which must have played at the senior varsity level. Bantam Varsity age will not be considered.
  3. Have represented sport with distinction in athletic competition in the CIS in or out of Ontario for a minimum of 3 years that the players name shows on the dressed roster where the player has brought great credit to the sport of football;
  4. Have contributed back to the OVFL in the way of coaching with an OVFL member organization for a minimum of 3 years as an OVFL positional coach, special teams coach, or offensive/defensive coordinator.
  5. Have demonstrated Character, Leadership and Sportsmanship on and off the field to bring credit to his team mates and the philosophy of the OVFL.
  6. Have demonstrated his commitment in promoting the OVFL to players wanting to take the football to the next level.

    NOMINATIONS ARE REVIEWED BY THE HOF COMMITTEE AND SELECTIONS ANNOUNCED AT THE ANNUAL AGM

Builder
PURPOSE: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
o recognize the contribution, leadership and abilities of those individuals who have participate in the development and organization of the OVFL.

The candidate must

  1. Have demonstrated outstanding service to the OVFL extending over a period of a minimum of five years in football.
  2. Have demonstrated leadership in the football community;
  3. Have been active in any capacity serving football, such as: coach, trainer, administrator, manager, governor, president with in the OVFL
  4. Have been born in Ontario, or have resided in Ontario during the period for which the individual’s outstanding contribution is claimed.
  5. Have been a member of the OVFL and served on the OVFL Management board for a minimum of 4 years.

  6. NEW AND REPEAT NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ANNUALLY


    NOMINATIONS ARE REVIEWED BY THE HOF COMMITTEE AND SELECTIONS ANNOUNCED AT THE ANNUAL AGM

President
PURPOSE: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To recognize the contribution, leadership and abilities of those individuals who develop member organizations with in the OVFL

The candidate must

  1. have been a member of the OVFL for a minimum of 4 years who has been an executive member of an OVFL member organization that have made a significant contributions to football with in there association and that of the OVFL.
  2. have been a member who shows character, dedication, and support to the league
  3. Have been a member that are recognized for excellence through their community involvement with in there football community.
  4. Have represented sport with distinction in athletic competition in Ontario, and brought great credit to the sport of football.

Coach
PURPOSE: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To recognize the contribution, leadership and abilities of those individuals who coached football in the OVFL.

The candidate must

  1. have reached the minimum age of 45 years of age.
  2. have coached in the OVFL for a minimum of 5 years at the Junior or Varsity level.
  3. have made a significant contribution to the OVFL.
  4. have shown character, dedication and sportsmanship to the league, officials, opponents, and players.
  5. have made a significant contributions to players development with in the OVFL and those pursuing moving to the next level of footbal.

  6. NEW AND REPEAT NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ANNUALLY
