I am sticking with consistency see here on this pick. It’s the beginning of the year and SSM is always consistent whereas Cambridge at the Varsity level in the last few years have not been impressive and have struggling

I don’t expect any changes in Newmarket or Kingston this year. Kingston is a definite playoff contender and Newmarket will struggle to win a game or maybe two

Metro didn’t impress with their exhibition game and appears to be weaker this year. This will not stop them from winning this game against Oshawa

Wow, what a way to start the season with Halton! I heard the registration numbers are up in Halton but can they compete with the Champs from last year. No way!

Cornwall will find it hard to compete against the Myers. I do not anticipate much of a contest between the two teams.

Markham was improving last year. They will continue to improve but this will not be enough for a tough squad that will have a solid Varsity team with additions from the strong JV team. I am predicting no contest here.

Thunder are going to have an off year also and will not be able to get their offense going against a stingy Cumberland defense. Close low scoring game with Cumberland coming out victorious.

Hamilton will have an off year due to the impact of players leaving to the other teams in the area. The Eagles will create enough big plays to pull this one out in the 4th quarter.

Didn't see anything from Sauga in their scrimmage with Metro to believe the drop off for the defending champs will be too great. Still, a long road ahead before we can crown them 3-peaters!

The long bus ride to the Limestone District will take its toll on the Bucs, perennial underdogs until they can win some statement games...2013 is a new season, but I don't think this is one of those games.

Year...many...Of the Halton rebuild meets year 1 of London's self-proclaimed rebuild. I think the Stangs caught lightning in a bottle in 2012 at Varsity....at JV they will have to prove they can do the same - Halton gets closer to competing, but drops a close one here.

Pickering looks pretty strong again in 2013. Markham continues to improve, but I don't think they have the right mix yet. Phins prevail large.

Hamilton JV is consistently a tough team to beat, doesn't matter what may or may not be going on with their Varsity program. Etobicoke has new leadership, but needs to prove they can be consistent at JV.

Rumours of OCP's JV demise are likely greatly exagerrated. Ottawa is a football hotbed. Scarboro needs to shake off last year's mediocrity and win some games early to give themselves a playoff chance. I see OCP capitalizing on a couple errors here and getting the W in week 1.
